bioLytical Attends United States Conference on AIDS

September, New Orleans: BioLytical Sales team members attended the 2013 United States Conference on AIDS (USCA) in New Orleans this year. The conference is the largest gathering of HIV/AIDS- related researchers, program directors and community advocates in the United States, and this year thousands of delegates, exhibitors and presenters met in New Orleans to discuss the latest in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and policy. The Affordable Care Act (ACA, also known as Obamacare) featured largely as it is expected HIV treatment and testing will be covered by the new federal healthcare plan.

The bioLytical booth was the main attraction of the exhibitors hall, where hundreds of conference attendees were drawn in by INSTIs speed and impressed by the early antibody detection, accuracy and ease of use. But the most compelling cases for INSTI came from satisfied INSTI customers! INSTI users from all over the United States, including Houston, Dallas, the US Virgin Islands, San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles raved about INSTI to those seeing the 1-minute assay for the first time, and even exchanged business cards to follow up about implementation tips. Dozens of new connections were made at all levels, from local Southern community based organizations to State AIDS program directors to interstate advocacy networks to one large national pharmacy chain, and the investment in attending USCA was returned within 2 weeks of the conference close. bioLytical also got some great coverage on a number of online and print publications following our USCA debut. We look forward to attending next year!
